Student Activities

Book Fair

Twice a year the PTP sponsers a Scholoastic Book Fair. Students can purchase books, journals, pencils, and other items.

Good Citizenship Assemblies

Each month a discipline assembly is held for those students who have shown good behavior.

Family Literacy Night

Ross families, students, and staff get together to share stories and activities.  It is a fun night of reading, exploring, and sharing .

Food Drive

Each November the Student Council holds a food drive. This year's response was wonderful. Thank you for all your donations!

Field Trips

During the school year each class may take up to three field trips. The trips are planned to enrich science or social studies themes the students are studying.

Geography Bee

Fourth and fifth grades participate in a geography bee each January.

Ross Carnival

Every spring the PTP and Ross Staff host a carnival for students, families and community. Everyone has a great time!

Ross Cats

Every month teachers select a student to be a "Ross Cat of the Month".

Santa's Workshop

Second grade students take a trip to the high school each December to visit Santa's Workshop. This event is hosted by high school students.

 Spelling Bee

Fourth and fifth grades participate in the school and district spelling bee each January.

Student Council

A select group of fifth graders are chosen as Representatives to participate in Student Council.  These students do a variety of jobs around the school and participate in school and community service projects.

 Family Learning Night

Every November Ross students, staff, and families join together to celebrate the learning that is taking place. We look over the students work, create new things, collect information about learning, and play learning games.

Other Activities

Every year there are activities and events that take place due to the needs of our society (such as disaster relief drives) or the interests of our students.  To see some of our actvities, click here.
