| The PTP's main goal this year is to raise money to pay for all field trips that students take through out the year. So far no child has had to pay for any part of field trips. This is something that the PTP is proud to do for our students. The PTP also funds many “extras” that are not typically part of the annual budget. A few examples of these expenditures are: Birthday Books (each child is given a brand new book for his/her birthday), the $1.00 book table at the book fair for children who cannot afford book fair prices, and the decorative flags on display outside of our school building.
Ross PTP also encourages community service by asking children and their families to donate food for our annual Thanksgiving Basket Project. (Last year 33 families were provided food for the holidays). We also have a coat, hat, and mitten drive in December.
Additionally, we hold many fun and educational activities through out the year for our students and their families. Watch for information about our roller skating nights and the annual carnival!
Ross PTP is open to anyone (parents, grandparents, and guardians)who has a child that attends Ross Elementary. Best of all there are no annual dues to pay. We would love to have you come and join us! |
